I am a landscape forward family photographer. This means that I see where you are as a part of who you are. I think deeply about our relationship to the natural world - how we can help build wonder and awe into the everyday. I’m hopeful that I do this in a way that inspires excitement, connection and courage, especially in our children.

I approach photography as an archivist and documentarian, holding your family’s memories with care and reverence. I try to embody a deep sense of place and time in my work, approaching family sessions without an agenda other than slowing down and being present.

My definition of landscape is expansive. While my work focuses on capturing families outdoors, I see the family landscape as any space that makes up your day-to-day life. The landscape is your couch, your kitchen and your bed as much as it is the lake, the forrest and the prairie.
